Stage Activities:
K- 2 Assembly: is Tuesday at 2:10pm in Weeks 4, 6, 8 and 10. (Kindergarten will be attending assembly from Wk 6)
Banking: is on Tuesdays
Scripture: is on Wednesdays
Sport: is on Fridays
Equipment:
4 x White board markers- (label with name and class)
2 x Glue sticks (label with name and class)
Head phone- over the head type preferred
2 x Boxes of tissues
2 x Plastic envelope for home reading/homework- (labelled with name and class)
Paint shirt- (labelled with name and class)
Library Bag- (labelled with name and class)
Pencils and scissors are supplied by the school and children do not need to bring their own.
Homework:
Homework will commence for Kindergarten in Week 6 of term one. This will include reading a short text with your child and learning some high frequency words and some sounds. Some simple maths games will be provided for you to practice skills learnt in the classroom. We encourage you to see your child's class teacher if you have any questions about homework.
Food:
It is important that students are provided with enough healthy food each day to help them concentrate and learn.
Fruit Break - Every class will include a short fruit break time during the morning session. Students are encouraged to pack fresh fruit or vegetables to eat during this time. Fresh fruit, vegetables and water only are allowed during this time. If possible cut fruit up it is easier for students to eat in the 10 mins.
Nut Aware- We have several children who are anaphylactic, and any contact with nut or products including nut could be potentially life threatening. Parents are reminded to ensure student's lunches are free from nuts, (eg. peanut butter and nutella).
Sport:
Fridays
We recommend the students wear their sports uniform with sneakers.

Kindergarten is an important year of schooling as children formally begin to develop their literacy and numeracy skills. Our whole school community will help your child adjust to school and help them to feel comfortable.
